The menu of the Monitor can be found in the top left part of the screen. We can use its functions in the same way as those of any other menu. The menu holds six main items which are the following:
- Shortcuts - Holds pre-made scenarios that present useful information about the analysed system. We can also save and manage our own scenarios in this part of the menu.
- Reports - We can make reports of the metrics, bad smells and rule violations found in the system to see the properties of the different program elements.
- Search - As the name of this menu item shows we can make different searches here. The results of these searches can later be the basis of charts or further searches.
- Item - This part of the menu helps us to acquire information of one or more program elements. It holds the same functions as the menu that can be accessed in the Left Panel (for the detailed description of the Left Panel please refer to Section 3.1).
- Charts - This is the part of the menu where we can create new charts or we can modify the contents of existing ones.
- Help - In this part of the menu we can get help if we have problems using the Monitor (this User's Guide can also be accessed from here). We can also report bugs or ask for new features in this part of the menu.
We will walk through each part of The menu in the following subsections and will give a detailed description of the functionalities that can be accessed through each menu item.
