SourceAudit Symbian 1.2.0 beta release notes (01.07.2006)

Thank you for using SourceAudit, a product of FrontEndART Ltd. We hope that this tool will be of great help to improve your software's quality by auditing the code of your Symbian C++ projects.

This is a public Beta release available as a free download for evaluation purposes. You are strongly encouraged to send us feedback on using this tool to the addresses shown below. We hope that we can improve the final version based on your comments more efficiently.

What is SourceAudit?

The product is integrated into most popular integrated development environments including Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse and Carbide, and can be used to check C++ projects against violations of rules according to the installed rule packages.

This release includes a rule package for checking C++ source code written for the Symbian platform. It consists of a set of rules for coding standards based on the official Symbian coding and development recommendations, which can be found in the Symbian OS Software Development Kits. See, for example, the "Series 60 SDK for Symbian OS" documentation (Series 60/Series 60 Examples/Coding Conventions).

The SourceAudit tool is based on the general reverse engineering framework for analyzing C/C++ software called Columbus/CAN of FrontEndART Ltd.
