FrontEndART Software Ltd. participated as the consortium leader, in partnership with the University of Szeged, in the Eureka Software Innovation Cluster’s ITEA 4 international call for proposals, led by the Turkish company Experteam. The goal of the three-year Optimal Management of Demand (OMD) project was to develop a unified, artificial intelligence-based customer request management system that can efficiently support automatic and cost-effective handling of administrative tasks across various sectors. The two Hungarian members of the international consortium joined the initiative with sector-specific use cases in software development. The consortium received HUF 68,036,322 in funding from the NKFIH Fund under the 2020-1.2.3-EUREKA call.
The research began on January 1, 2022, and concluded on December 31, 2024. The aim was to create a software quality control component that uses artificial intelligence to optimally assign a development issue ticket to the most suitable developer, minimizing the time and cost required for maintenance.
In the final year of the project, FrontEndART Ltd., with support from the University of Szeged, successfully integrated the AI component into its own CODEE system. Beyond integration support, the University of Szeged actively participated in measuring performance indicators and evaluating the new component. A scientific article was also produced summarizing the results of the project’s research tasks, which is currently under peer review. The publication presents a machine learning method based on a language model that also leverages characteristics beyond the text, as well as a knowledge graph-based data representation used by the system. The project was successfully presented to the ITEA Committee at the end of 2024 and received praise from the Evaluation Committee for the international consortium’s work.
