We were recently invited to the DIG-IT Podcast, where Dr. Tibor Bakota, CEO of FrontEndART Ltd., and Róbert Kónya, Head of Sales at FrontEndART Ltd., represented our company. During the nearly 45-minute conversation, timely and practically relevant topics were discussed—issues that affect almost every IT and business decision-maker today. The podcast covered the following topics: the real role of artificial intelligence in software development, opportunities and limitations of increasing efficiency, the situation of junior developers, and the growing importance of security and regulatory concerns.
Genuine Professional Dialogue Without Buzzwords
We accepted the invitation to the DIG-IT Podcast because it’s rare to find a professional forum that truly allows time and space to unfold complex correlations. While there is plenty of talk about digitalization and artificial intelligence today, everyday practical questions that development and business sides genuinely face are rarely addressed. This podcast provided an opportunity to talk, based on experience and without oversimplification, about how AI is transforming software development processes.
Automation and AI: Where Do We Draw the Line?
One of the central topics of the podcast was boosting efficiency with AI-supported software. The discussion explored how artificial intelligence appears in development and testing processes, and under what conditions it offers real competitive advantage. Our experience shows that AI works best when applied to clearly defined problems and integrated with existing processes.
The difference between AI agents and classical automation was also discussed. Not every process requires an adaptive, learning system—deterministic solutions are often more transparent, more auditable, and carry less risk. The discussion focused on which approach best supports stability, security, and long-term sustainable operation in a given context.
Junior Developers and the Changing Learning Path
The situation of junior developers was another topic, as it is currently one of the most sensitive issues in the industry. FrontEndART representatives shared their experience that AI does not eliminate entry-level roles but rather completely reshapes the development paths. While some entry-level tasks can indeed be automated, the need to master the fundamentals remains. The real challenge lies in how to preserve deep understanding, systems thinking, and accountability in an era of fast-moving software solutions.
Security and Regulation at the Design Stage
The legal and regulatory aspects of the discussion were shaded by Dr. Péter Dávid, founder of fintechjog.hu. Regarding the AI Act and NIS2, it became clear that using artificial intelligence is now also a managerial and organizational responsibility. Compliance is not a documentation burden—it is a design principle.
The "compliance by design" approach means that data protection, security, and auditability must be considered as early as the system design phase. This is especially important where sensitive business or personal data is handled, and where the consequences of AI decisions go well beyond the technological domain.
Why Is This Topic So Relevant Now?
The points made in the podcast are not only validated by our current projects. According to McKinsey research, when applied properly, generative AI can boost efficiency by 30-40% in knowledge-based roles. However, the emphasis is not on the tool itself, but on its implementation within clear business goals and controlled processes. In organizations where AI appears as an isolated solution, the expected benefits often fail to materialize.
The Stanford AI Index report reaches a similar conclusion: the business value of AI does not come from widespread, across-the-board use. Rather, it is targeted applications that bring tangible results—where AI solves a clearly defined problem with measurable impact on efficiency, quality, or risk reduction. This approach reinforces the mindset present throughout the podcast: AI becomes true value only when backed by conscious decisions and responsible planning.
Who Is This Episode For?
We recommend this episode to anyone who wants a clearer understanding of how artificial intelligence fits into day-to-day development and business operations. If you are an IT leader, developer, or decision-maker, listen to understand where the true opportunities and risks lie.
For us, this DIG-IT Podcast episode was about clear thinking in a rapidly changing technological landscape. We would like to thank the DIG-IT Podcast editors, László Személyi and Zoltán Szekér, for the invitation. The podcast can be listened to at this link. Enjoy!
